"The way we do it on the farm -- it's so quick and easy!"

Cooking elk meat is quick and easy! However, if you have questions, please don't hesitate to call us at: 1-800-355-6328. We love to chat about cooking elk meat!

Thin Steaks - 7 to 8 minutes on each side in the broiler (top rack) or on  a hot grill. Set your timer and check the meat for your preference. If you need to, butterfly the steak and return it to the heat for 45 seconds to 1 minute longer.

Thin Steaks - 5 to 6 minutes on each side in the broiler (top rack) or on a hot grill.

1/2 Pound Ground Round - 3 to 6 minutes on each side in a skillet with a small amount of olive oil. Be sure to start checking meat after 3 minutes for your preference. Can be used in "ground meat" recipes.

1/4 lb Patties - 3 minutes max on each side. Elk meat cooks fast! We suggest grilling for best flavor.

6 oz. Patties - 3 to 6 minutes on each side, checking after 3 minutes for your preference. We suggest grilling the patties for best flavor.

Fajita Meat - Cook in a skillet with a small amount of olive oil. Cook meat to a simmer, just enough to get the pink out. Fix your Fajitas the way you like them.

Ground Elk - Use in your favorite ground meat dishes - prepare exactly the same.

Kabobs - Depends on the thickness of meat and spacing on skewers. 3 to 7 minutes. Check the meat for preference. Add your favorite vegetables and seasonings. Don't forget the pineapple!

Caution: Elk Meat cooks fast - over cooking dries the meat out.

ALL cuts of Elk are great with your favorite seasoning salts, spices, steak sauces, or marinates (some people use coca cola for marinating). Suggestions: In addition to the bottle of Country Bob's Seasoning you've received with your order, these seasonings are favorites with our employees when cooking elk: Cavenders All Purpose Greek Seasoning, TIP's bbq spice, Montreal Steak Seasoning.
